Maura Harris

Maura Harris has worked in the health and human service sector in New York City for nearly a decade. She currently serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives at Services for the Underserved (S:US), a nonprofit delivering over $270 million in services annually across all five boroughs and Long Island to the most vulnerable New Yorkers, including people experiencing homelessness, people with developmental disabilities, and people with mental health and substance use challenges. In her role, she leads cross-functional initiatives to bring innovation to S:US' programs, streamline operations for efficiency, and increase collaboration and coordination both interdepartmentally and externally with community partners. Prior to S:US, Maura worked for the Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) where she managed PCDC's legislative agenda and worked to convene coalitions of diverse stakeholders to partner in advocacy for policies and programs aimed at strengthening primary care, increasing access, and reducing health inequities in New York State. Maura was also an early employee at Galileo and held multiple roles at One Medical. Maura received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master of Public Health from New York University.
